The Pantsir-S1 air defence battery and Kornet-EM ATGW capabilities against the ground-based enemy were demonstrated by live AD guns and ATGM firings in the frame of the antiaircraft missile troops international competition - KEYS TO THE SKY. Supposed enemy sabotage groups were defeated. The Pantsir-S1 air defence battery convoy mission was demonstrated by live SAM firings. All enemy low-level targets were engaged. The army crews were a success to fight target missiles and thus to protect the S-300 column.

Tula-based KBP Instrument Design Bureau is celebrating a victory: the Pantsir-S1 air-defence missile-gun system was adopted for service with the Russian Army by an order of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on 16 November 2012.
