KBP participated in the VIII-th DEFEXPO INDIA – 2014 Land, Naval & Internal Homeland Security Systems Exhibition in New Delhi, India within the period of 6th-9th February 2014.

KBP’s display occupied 100 m2 and was located in the pavilion as a part of the High-Precision Weapons JSC exposition within the joint exhibition area of Rostech State Corporation. The company’s delegation was headed by Yury Khozyainov, Deputy Managing Director for Foreign Economic Activity & Director of KBP Moscow Office.

KBP displayed mock-ups, models and advertising boards of weapon systems offered for export in the following areas: ATGWs, AD missile/gun systems, multi-purpose guided missiles armament, guided artillery weapon systems, upgrade packages for armoured hardware, grenade launchers and small-arms. Video films and presentations of the displayed weapon systems were shown on the screen consisting of 9 plasma panels. Plasma monitors and interactive panels located throughout the stand along with mock-ups and advertising boards demonstrated the design features and specifications of the displayed weapon systems.

At this exhibition the company for the first time put on display the full-scale sample of combat compartment for armoured hardware outfitted with armament package with FCS and Kornet-E ATGM (Berezhok combat compartment). The module was located on a building berth and the full ammunition load was shown as the mock-ups.

The new amphibious ADS submachine gun for Navy Special Forces capable of being used at land and under water with the same good performance was shown abroad for the first time.

The 9F676-1 (Pantsir-S1 ADMGS) and the 9F864-2 (Berezhok combat compartment) simulators were demonstrated at the exhibition. The visitors could see the work of the Pantsir-S1 combat vehicle operator as well as the work of the BMP-2 upgraded combat compartment commander and the gunner in simulated combat environment being very close to the real combat. The simulators aroused keen interest of the official delegations and specialists.

KBP delegation members held a number of meetings and discussions with the representatives of Indian MoD and Asian-Pacific Region countries. KBP specialists delivered detailed presentations of the company’s products for the high-rank officials of Indian MoD. The Indian specialists showed special interest towards the full-scale sample of Berezhok combat compartment and its simulator. The said interest is explained by desire of the Indian Army to upgrade armament of their BMP-2 fleet and the KBP’s upgrade package is of special interest to Indian specialists. Moreover, interest towards Pantsir-S1 ADMG system was demonstrated. The Indian delegation members could evaluate the efficiency of the weapon system with the help of the combat vehicle simulator. The company’s display was also visited by a large number of Indian industry representatives.

Except for the Indian Armed Forces delegation the company’s stand was visited by a number of other delegations. Among them are Canada, Tanzania, Namibia, UAE, Finland.

Head of the KBP delegation at DEFEXPO INDIA – 2014, Mr. Yury Khozyainov, Deputy Managing Director for Foreign Economic Activity & Director of KBP Moscow Office noted that the goals set to the delegation in terms of preparatory work and participation in the show are achieved. Preliminary work done by KBP in order to arrange meetings and discussions at DEFEXPO INDIA – 2014 allowed to carry out more than 20 presentations of the company’s products for the high-rank officials of MoD, police and Ministry of Internal Affairs of India.

KBP’s display demonstrated the company’s capabilities to develop and manufacture a wide range of weapons: from small-arms to high-precision weapons and air-defence missile systems.
