  • MALAKHIT Automated Artillery Fire Control System (AAFCS)
  • Advantages and performance peculiarities

    On the battlefield Kitolov-M2 provides:
  • direct first shot hit without fire adjustment;
  • engagement of group (spaced) targets with the same fire settings;
  • firing with reduced meteo and ballistic preparation;
  • top attack to hit the least protected target part;
  • “burst” fire (methodical fire) with 20-25s interval and laser designator targeting in the interval between target illumination cycles.

MALAKHIT portable automated fire control system (AAFCS) provides target detection and illumination (including night operation), firing position (FP) and command/observation post (COP) localization and orientation, automated fire settings calculation.

The Kitolov-2M system significantly increases division artillery performance due to, first of all, the direct hit capability offered by the guided projectile plus significantly enhanced warhead lethality compared to conventional HEF projectile, and, secondly, due to the new advantage to successfully fight main battle tanks.
