  • Pump-action

A pump-action shotgun. The unique layout with a moving barrel located under the magazine allowed to reject bolt action, reduce weight, size, and enlarge magazine capacity.

  • Advantages over models with a standard layout

  • minimum climb due to low position of the barrel. This has reduced recoil by 20-35% and improved deliverable rate of fire
  • "forward-backward" reloading cycle
    • Reloading

Reloading is made by moving the stock and the barrel forward and backward.

and well-located fore-end behind the guard resulted in ready position and accuracy
  • downward ejection of a fired case provides ease of firing from both the right and left shoulders
  • unlike its counterparts, the RMB-93 features a receiver without openings, thus it is protected against dust, sand and foreign matter ingress that can cause stoppages or failures

The "Rys" family for civil market was developed on the RMB-93 basis.

    • Maximum fire availability

The double-action firing mechanism is of hammer type. The mainspring is cocked only at squeezing the trigger that enables to chamber a cartridge beforehand. This enables operation with a disabled safety providing maximum fire availability. The RMB-93 also has a manual safety actuated by thumbpieces located symmetrically on both sides of the body.
